Call for Nominations - Board of Directors

AAQEP seeks nominations of qualified individuals for appointment to its Board of Directors in 2021.
Who May Nominate
Any individual affiliated with an AAQEP institutional member or any current director of the Board may nominate candidates. Self-nominations are permitted.
Who May Serve
We are seeking educator preparation faculty and administrators as well as P-12 teachers and administrators, state policy makers, and public members. The nominee need not be affiliated with AAQEP.
About the Board
The AAQEP Board of Directors is an all-volunteer governance body. The Board meets remotely at least twice a year to set policy, review activities and performance of the association, review and approve the annual budget and independent financial audit, and perform other duties as described in the bylaws.
Nominations must be received by midnight EST on November 1, 2020.
Review Process and Timeline
Candidates will be reviewed by the Nominating Committee for recommendation to the Board in November. The Board will determine final appointments to up to six seats for 4-year terms that will begin July 1, 2021.
Nominations must be made in writing. Submission materials must include:
- The completed form below
- A letter of nomination introducing the candidate and offering a rationale for appointment to the AAQEP Board
- The nominee’s curriculum vitae
Incomplete submissions will not be considered.
