The AAQEP Board of Directors invites applications for the position of President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in anticipation of Mark LaCelle-Peterson’s planned retirement in September 2026.

AAQEP is seeking a strategic and innovative leader to guide the organization’s professional collegial community. This opportunity to lead an educator preparation accreditation organization involves maintaining high-quality accreditation expectations along with continuous improvement for participating institutions.

The President/CEO represents and leads the organization, building meaningful connections with members, institutions, state education departments, and the broader community. This leader is responsible for the organization’s strategic vision, leading policy/governance initiatives, overseeing financial performance, and managing daily operations. The President/CEO oversees a committed and dedicated staff, works closely with an engaged Board of Directors, and collaborates with members on a range of initiatives.
