AAQEP Partner Webinar: Preparing Educators With Mental Health Literacy
Attending to the well-being of students and colleagues, and knowing how to connect with mental health resources within schools and districts, has become an important element in educator preparation and practice. AAQEP’s 2025 expectations framework recognizes this development in the new Aspect 2g.
To support members in addressing this aspect, AAQEP is partnering with the Mental Health Literacy Collaborative to provide resources for programs and candidates. In this webinar, MHLC's Donna Volpitta will present information on the Mental Health Literacy Aware training, a one-hour program that equips preservice teachers with the knowledge and confidence they need to integrate mental health literacy effectively as they transition into their teaching careers. Participation by candidates in the training is fully funded by the Clinton Global Initiative Commitment to Action. Come learn how your programs and candidates can benefit!
