Passing the Torch: Ensuring Continuity in Assessment, Quality Assurance, and Innovation/Improvement
Well-developed accreditation expertise is highly beneficial to programs. To preserve these benefits and ensure continuity in times of transition, it’s important to have structures and processes in place that empower new team members to share in this expertise. Hear from AAQEP members who have been able to successfully pass the accreditation torch and learn how they:
- Plan for continuity in assessment and accreditation processes
- Build depth on their quality assurance team
- Ensure that faculty, administrators, and others are prepared for backup in case of unexpected staff transitions
- Have adapted or changed the structure or distribution of responsibilities since their last AAQEP review
