AAQEP Partner Webinar: Overview of CPAST (Candidate Preservice Assessment of Student Teaching)
The Candidate Preservice Assessment of Student Teaching (CPAST) is an increasingly popular tool for teacher preparation programs to assess the performance of their candidates and program completers. In this webinar for AAQEP members, leaders of the Ohio State University’s Office of Accreditation, Placement, and Licensure will present an overview of the CPAST instrument, its rubric and “look for” companion, and data collection. Presenters will also touch on the history of the assessment, discuss validity and reliability, and share the current process to become a CPAST partner institution.
Presenters:
- Lauren Salamone, Associate Director of Office of Accreditation, Placement, and Licensure, Ohio State University
- Megan Schertel, Program Assistant, Ohio State University
- Tony Smith, Data Analyst, Ohio State University
Registrants will receive the Zoom link to join the webinar in their confirmation email. A recording of the presentation also will be sent to all registrants after the webinar.
