AAQEP Institute
Join us for the inaugural AAQEP Institute, September 22-23, 2022, in Kansas City, Missouri!
Choose from two tracks of professional learning seminars for accreditation and assessment leaders:
Emerging Leaders Seminar
|
This track is designed to support the professional development of faculty and staff who are new to their leadership role in accreditation. Undertaking this work can be challenging: "accreditation preparation" is not part of academic programs. Most individuals with responsibility for leading accreditation efforts are left to learn the role on the job. This 2-day seminar provides a deep grounding in how to “do accreditation”:
Practical attention will be given to AAQEP’s system, but the principles will apply to any professional programmatic accreditation process. |
Quality Improvement Seminar
|
This track is designed for individuals and teams who have an initial understanding of the AAQEP process and are ready to explore their accreditation journey. Created with continuous improvement in mind, this seminar leads participants through two workshops designed to support programs at any stage of their improvement or accreditation cycle. Take an in-depth look into the use of data, the understanding of data, and how to build and sustain a culture of continuous improvement through the lens of improvement science. The first day will engage you in the workshop Using Data to Sustain Improvement. Learn how to go deeper into your context and construct well-informed revision cycles through the use of improvement science. Consider models and tools that can support your trajectory of growth and continuous improvement. The second day will feature AAQEP’s Quality Implementation workshop, focused on taking the models you studied the day before and building them into your program’s culture with your faculty, staff, and stakeholders. Using the principles of a systems model and improvement science, this day’s sessions will focus on the role leaders can play in supporting and driving continuous improvement in your programs. Leave with a clear plan and ideas for working with your internal and external stakeholders to enhance and sustain your continuous improvement work. |
Each seminar can accommodate up to 35 registrants. The two tracks will convene in separate meeting rooms, but all participants will have opportunities to intermingle over breakfast, lunch, and a reception.
Note: Both AAQEP members and nonmembers will benefit from these seminars! While AAQEP’s system will provide a practical model for both tracks, the principles and lessons will apply across other accreditation systems.
