Member in Good Standing Policy
AAQEP regular, affiliate, and individual members are considered to be in good standing when invoices are paid in a timely manner, defined as follows:
For new member applications:
- The membership fee is assessed at the time of application.
- Access to member benefits commences immediately upon application, except that proposals and self-study reports may be filed, and site visits scheduled, only after dues are paid.
- If payment is not received within 90 days of application, the membership application and access to benefits will be suspended.
For continuing members:
- The membership fee is assessed July 1 of each year.
- If payment is 6 months overdue, access to member benefits other than participation in accreditation will be suspended.
- If payment is 12 months overdue, membership will be terminated, and any accreditation status will be forfeited (see Adverse Action policy regarding impact on accreditation status).
Membership may also be terminated if invoices in excess of $5,000 remain unpaid for 12 months.
